Cash Drawers, Pulls, Drops & Session Reconciliation
Managing cash flow at outdoor markets requires tight tracking. Membrzs Market provides multi-user cash tracking, mid-session pulls and drops, and closing cash drawer reconciliation.
1. Cash Drawer Modes
When opening a market session, select your vendor's drawer operational model:
- Shared Drawer: All team members process cash payments into a single, shared cash box.
- Per Seller: Each team member operates their own separate cash drawer and tracks their own sales.
2. Mid-Session Cash Pulls & Cash Drops
To manage cash drawer safety during high-volume events:
- Tap the session menu (
···) on the POS screen. - Select Cash Pull or Cash Drop:
- Cash Pull: Remove excess cash from the drawer (e.g., removing $200 for safe storage).
- Cash Drop: Add cash to the drawer (e.g., adding $50 in small bills to make change).
- Enter the Amount and a reason.
The system updates your drawer's expected balance in real-time.
3. Session Closing & Reconciliation
At the end of a market event:
- Open the session menu (
···) and select Close Session (in Per Seller mode, you can also Close My Drawer individually without ending the whole session for the team). - Count the physical cash in your drawer and enter it under Closing Cash ($).
- Membrzs Market shows a reconciliation breakdown: Opening cash, + Cash sales, − Cash pulls, + Cash drops, and the resulting Expected in drawer.
- Enter your physical count under Actual count. The app shows the Variance between what you counted and what was expected.
- Turn on Email Session Report if you'd like a summary of the session's sales sent to your account email, then close the session.
