Getting Started with Membrzs Market Mobile POS

This guide walks a new vendor through installing the app, setting up an account, and making a first sale from an iPhone or Android device.

1. Create Your Account

On iPhone or iPad, set up your account on the web first: go to portal.membrzs.com, sign up, and work through the short setup (store profile, plan, and Stripe Connect). Then install Membrzs Market from the App Store and sign in with the email and password you just created.

On Android, you can create your account right in the app:

  1. Open the Membrzs Market app and tap Register (or Sign In if you already created an account through portal.membrzs.com).
  2. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Email, Password, and Business Name, and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  3. Depending on your workspace, you'll then be asked to verify your email or, if MFA is required, to enter a verification code.

Once your account exists you sign in with the same email and password on every device.

2. Complete Store Setup

Setup has four parts: Your Store (business name, phone, address), Choose a Plan (Freemium, Lite, Premium, Team, or Enterprise — paid plans include a 30-day free trial with no card up front), Billing (paid plans only, to put a card on file), and Accept Card Payments (connect Stripe Connect for identity verification, about 2 minutes).

  • On iPhone or iPad, all of this happens at portal.membrzs.com before you first sign in to the app.
  • On Android, a setup wizard walks you through it the first time you sign in.

Cash sales work with or without Stripe — you can skip the Stripe step and connect later from Config > Payment Setup (in the app) or by tapping Skip for now (Android wizard).

See "Creating Your Vendor Account & Linking Stripe Connect" for full detail on that step.

3. A Tour of the Four Tabs

  • Register — the point-of-sale screen where you build a cart and take payment.
  • Reader — connect and manage your card reader (Tap to Pay or a Stripe M2 Bluetooth reader). Disabled while your device can't reach Membrzs's local server.
  • Orders — order history and receipts.
  • Config — Store Profile, Tax, Receipts, Products, Team, and Account/Security all live here, plus a Plan & Billing screen. On iPhone/iPad that screen shows your current plan and past invoices and lets you cancel; plan changes and payment-method updates are done on portal.membrzs.com. Config is also disabled while offline, since it depends on live data.

4. Connecting a Card Reader

This section applies to Lite and up — Freemium doesn't include a card reader; the Charge Card button opens manual card entry instead.

  1. Go to the Reader tab.
  2. Under "Choose a connection method," pick Tap to Pay (iPhone, or NFC-capable Android — no extra hardware) or Stripe M2 (a Bluetooth card reader).
  3. Don't have an M2 reader yet? Buy one for $79 from Config > Hardware Store.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair. Once connected, the reader's name and serial number are shown, with a Disconnect Reader option below.

Cash sales never require a reader and always work, even before you connect one.

5. Opening a Session & Your First Sale

  1. From the Register tab, open a market session — pick your location, cash drawer mode, and opening cash amount.
  2. Add products to the cart by tapping product tiles or scanning a barcode.
  3. Choose Cash or Charge Card to complete checkout, and optionally send an email/SMS receipt.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Wi-Fi or cell service to use the app at a market?

No — cash sales queue automatically and sync once you're back online. Card payments and the Config tab do require a connection. See "How Offline Mode & Automatic Queue Sync Work" for details.

Can more than one person sell from my account?

Yes, on Team and Enterprise plans. See "Managing Team Members & Role Permissions" for how to invite people.
