Resetting Passwords & Account Recovery

How to request password reset links and recover access to vendor accounts.

1. Resetting Your Password From the Mobile App

  1. On the mobile app's sign-in screen, tap Forgot Password.
  2. Enter the email address on your Membrzs account and tap Send Reset Link.
  3. You'll see a confirmation message: "If an account exists for that email, we've sent a password reset link. Check your inbox." This wording is intentional — it doesn't confirm or deny whether an account exists, to protect other vendors' privacy.
  4. Open the email and follow the link to set a new password.
  5. Return to the app and sign in with your new password.

2. Resetting Your Password From the Web Portal

The Web Portal (portal.membrzs.com) uses the same sign-in system as the mobile app. From the portal's login screen, tap Sign in — you'll be taken to Membrzs's secure sign-in page, which includes its own password-reset option. Requesting a reset there sends the same kind of reset-link email described above, and it resets the password for your account everywhere (mobile app and Portal both use one login).

3. If You Never Receive the Reset Email

  • Check your spam/junk folder — the reset link is sent from Membrzs's transactional email system.
  • Confirm you entered the exact email address your Membrzs account was created with. If you're not sure which address that is, ask a teammate with account access, or reach a business owner on the account.
  • Reset-link requests don't reveal whether an email is registered, so a missing email can also simply mean that address isn't on any Membrzs account — double-check for typos.

4. Account Locked After Failed Sign-In Attempts

Too many incorrect password attempts in a row will temporarily lock the account for security. If you see an "Account locked after too many attempts" message, wait before trying again, or use Forgot Password to set a new password immediately rather than continuing to guess.

5. Two-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Sign-In

If your account has Two-Factor Authentication enabled (Config > Account > Two-Factor Authentication in the mobile app), you'll be prompted for a verification code after entering your password. A password reset does not disable MFA — you'll still need your authenticator code, email code, or SMS code afterward, depending on which method is set up.

6. Recovering Access When You've Lost Your Device

Signing in on a new phone only requires your email and password (plus your MFA method, if enabled) — Membrzs accounts are not tied to a specific device. If you also can't complete MFA on a new device (for example, you lost a phone with your authenticator app installed), contact Membrzs support from another team member's app (Config > Contact Support) or via the Contact page so the team can help verify your identity and restore access.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does resetting my password log me out of other devices?

Signing in with a new password issues fresh session tokens; existing sessions on other devices will need to reauthenticate the next time their stored session expires or is refreshed.

I'm a seller on someone else's vendor account — can I reset my own password?

Yes. Each team member signs in with their own email and password, so Forgot Password works the same way regardless of your role (owner, manager, or seller).

Does Face ID / Touch ID replace my password?

No. Biometrics on the mobile app unlock a previously signed-in session on that specific device — they don't replace your account password, and a password reset doesn't change your biometric setup on devices where it's already enabled.
