Automated Session Close Email Reports
Send a sales and cash summary email to your account's address whenever you close a session, without needing to open the app again to check the numbers.
1. Sending a Session Report
- Open the session menu (···) and tap Close Session (or Close My Drawer for just your own drawer, in Per Seller mode).
- Fill in your Closing Cash ($) and review the reconciliation breakdown.
- Under Email Session Report, leave the toggle on — its helper text reads "Send a summary of sales to your account email." It's on by default each time you close a session.
- Tap Close Session to finish. The report is emailed once the session finishes closing.
There's no separate settings screen for this — it's a per-close toggle you set (or leave on) every time, not a one-time account preference.
2. What's in the Report
The emailed summary includes:
- The session's name/label and open date, plus its market location if one was set.
- A Sales Summary: card total, cash total, combined total, and order count.
- A Cash Drawer breakdown (when there was opening cash or cash sales): opening cash, cash sales, pulls, drops, expected in drawer, and — once you've entered a closing count — actual count and variance.
- A Top Products list of the session's top sellers by revenue.
3. Delivery
Reports are sent via email to the address on your Membrzs account. Delivery happens right after the session finishes closing; if it fails to send for any reason, the session still closes normally — email delivery doesn't block or undo the close.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I turn this off permanently so I don't have to remember each time? Not currently — the Email Session Report toggle is scoped to each individual session close, not saved as an account-wide default. (This is different from other Membrzs notifications, like sale alerts or the weekly summary, which do have dedicated on/off settings.)
Can I resend a report after closing? No — the report is only sent automatically at the moment a session closes; there's no separate "resend" action.
