Uploading & Using Custom Emojis in the Web Portal
Upload your own PNG, GIF, or WebP icons in the Web Portal, then assign them to individual products so your logo or brand art shows up anywhere that product's emoji normally appears.
1. Uploading a Custom Emoji
- Sign in to portal.membrzs.com and go to Settings.
- Click the Custom Emoji tab.
- Under Upload Custom Emoji, click Choose file… and pick an image (PNG, GIF, or WebP, up to 512 KB).
- Type a name in the Emoji name field — it's pre-filled from the file name, but you can rename it.
- Click Upload. The image appears in the gallery below.
To remove one later, hover over it in the gallery and click the small × that appears, then confirm. Any products currently using that image will lose it (they don't get deleted — just the icon).
2. Assigning a Custom Emoji to a Product
Custom emojis are uploaded from the Web Portal, but picking one for a specific product is done from the mobile app:
- In the app, go to Config > Products.
- Tap a product to edit it, or + Add Product to create a new one.
- Tap the emoji preview next to Icon / Emoji.
- In the picker that opens, tap the Custom tab (next to Standard).
- Tap the emoji you want, then Save.
If you haven't uploaded anything yet, this tab shows a reminder to upload custom emoji in the Web Portal first.
Note: The Web Portal's own product form only has a plain text field for Emoji / Icon (it also accepts a pasted image URL) — it doesn't currently let you browse your uploaded custom emoji gallery. Use the mobile app to pick visually from what you've uploaded.
3. Where Custom Emojis Show Up
Once assigned to a product, its emoji field (custom or standard) is used consistently wherever that product is shown:
- The checkout grid and cart in the mobile app.
- Digital receipts.
- The Web Portal's Orders page (order line items), Reports page (Hot Sellers), and Inventory page.
